I really like the colors, the detail, and the faces hidden within the painting. The longer I look at it, the more new things I find which makes the piece very interesting. The inkwork is truly amazing.
On the other hand the painting certainly does have A LOT to look at and seems on the brink of being a bit overwhelming. Also I feel there needs to be a bit more balance in the composition instead of having most of the color and detail concentrated in one area. Not sure if its actually how the painting is or just a result of scanning/photographing, but the white on the left really stands out and I think that might take away from the rest of the piece. . Perhaps staining it just a tad to match the right side would pull it together.
Overall a very nice piece.
